Emaar Properties, founded by Mohamed Alabbar, has become a global leader in real estate. With Mohamed Alabbar's vast experience in tourism and construction, the company has achieved remarkable success, including iconic projects like the Burj Khalifa. As of 2021, Mohamed Alabbar serves as the Managing Director, with Jamal Bin Theniyah as Chairman and Ahmed Jawa as Vice Chairman. The CEO is Amit Jain.
Since its international expansion in 2004, Emaar Properties has grown to over 60 subsidiaries, operating in 36 markets across North America, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. It has ongoing projects in various countries such as Turkey, Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, including Jeddah Gate in Saudi Arabia and Beit Misk in Lebanon.
Living in Dubai Marina offers the advantage of easy access to major roads like Al Sufouh Rd and Sheikh Zayed Rd, connecting all seven emirates. While the area lacks nearby schools, there are plenty of options in neighboring areas like Al Sufouh, Umm Suqeim, and Al Barsha, offering Indian, British, and American curricula. Emaar has achieved remarkable success over the years, earning multiple Guinness World Records for their projects. Their most famous building, the Burj Khalifa, stands as the tallest building globally, reaching almost 2,722 feet in height. Construction started in 2004 and was completed in 2010, with 160 floors dedicated to residential use. The Burj Khalifa has set records for the most floors in a building, the highest restaurant, the tallest residential apartments, and hosting the largest light and sound show on a single building.

Emaar Properties was set up with an initial capital of USD 274 million and now has a net profit of AED 2.617 billion (2020). The total sales backlog in 2020 was AED 36.617 billion with AED 24.738 in the UAE. Property sales accounted for AED 10.9 billion with AED 6.321 billion made in the UAE alone. Emaar Properties has handed over more than 72,000 residential units in 2020.
In the first half of 2021, net profit was AED 1.56 billion compared to AED 1.68 billion in the first half of 2020. A record AED 16.84 billion in real estate sales were recorded during the H1 of the current year. This is a 229% increase over the first half of 2020 with sales of AED 5.12 billion.
